5 Days in Phuket on a $100 Budget
Budget travel tips
Real-world perspective
These notes come from typical tourist experiences riding in Phuket — successes, mistakes, and lessons learned.
What worked
- Getting IDP before departure
- Riding slowly the first day
- Premium insurance when unfamiliar with roads
- Early starts to beat heat and traffic
What to watch for
Unexpected rain, gravel on corners, sand at beach road exits, and fatigue on long return rides after sunset.

- Riding without IDP and any fines are entirely the customer's responsibility.
- Daily rental. If returning late, notify us on WhatsApp.
- No test rides.
- Damage: Without insurance, repair cost + lost rental days. Full coverage recommended.
- Drunk riding carries severe penalties.
